The Prevalence of Violence against Healthcare Workers in Turkey and Employee Job Satisfaction

Aim: To reveal the different dimensions of workplace violence that healthcare workers are exposed to, and to evaluate impact exposure on job satisfaction workers. Methods: The study sample comprises 169 people working in positions hospital (doctor, nurse, secretary, assistant staff, etc.). Workplace Violence Questionnaire Job Satisfaction Scale were used collect data. questionnaire forms distributed closed envelopes according random sampling method, filled out by volunteer participants themselves. Descriptive statistics t-test analyze Results: results show more than half staff (57.5%) had been last year; 54.8% verbal violence, 26% physical 5.4% sexual harassment. In addition, it was found levels those individuals who (16.71) lower level not (18.59) (t = -2.793, p-value 0.006). Conclusion: at serious risk workplace. is observed negatively affects satisfaction, which important regarding attitude. Keywords: Health Workers, Violence, Satisfaction.
